Steinbruck Center!

Hey everyone!

I have to work at the hospital this weekend and should be in bed right now but I am excited to watch Brett Favre on The Jay Leno Show tonight! haha : )

I am getting so excited for our upcoming immersion to Washington DC. Just thought that I would share with you a little bit more detail regarding the place that we will be staying at in Washington DC. It is called the Steinbruck center as many of us have mentioned earlier in our posts. If you have an account with facebook you should search "Steinbruck Center" and become a fan. It describes the center in more detail and offers some pictures of the dormitory we will be staying in. Here is one of the many pictures displayed:

The Steinbruck Center offers programs for many different kinds of groups, including:

* College groups seeking an alternative spring break or urban service-learning program in Washington, D.C.

* Church youth groups interested in a service trip while learning more about a biblical response to homelessness and poverty.

* Church congregations interested in learning more about Luther Place Memorial Church and N Street Village in order to explore ways in which they can reach out to the homeless and poor in their own communities.

* Groups of clergy or seminary students interested in urban ministry, and in learning from Luther Place's response to poverty in its own community.

I do believe there will be another college staying here as well during our visit. We will keep you posted with more updates as March 13th is coming soon! It has been so beautiful outside and hopefully we will have pretty good weather in Washington DC as well.
