A little Levity at Christ House

Our UW-EC graduate nursing students made an impact at Christ House. The photo at the left depicts everyone in a goofy pose, sharing a laugh.

There is sadness and pain at Christ House. It is a small residential facility and hospice for homeless persons with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and a care center for homeless persons who are recovering from addictions and it is a place for persons who have recently suffered surgeries and who are too ill to live on the streets.

But there is also hope here. Persons do recover and survive and many return to permanent lodging. With the aid of nurses, social workers, doctors, and case managers, and interdisciplinary team conferences that include homeless persons, everyone at Christ House is provided support and care.
